It’s Iggy Pop’s birthday! Read the story behind the recording session for Repo Man; aka, two grams of coke causes annunciation problems

Why does Iggy never play Repo Man live? One of his best solo cuts, imho. You’ve got Steve Jones, of Sex Pistols fame, on guitar, and Blondie’s rhythm section of Nigel Harrison (also of personal faves, Silverhead) on bass and Clem Burke on drums. That’s a punk rock super group, to be sure.
Happy birthday, Jim!
