Despite absolutely horrific acting and, at best, passable dialogue, 1997’s Cube, was a quickly paced film, that managed to look great, despite it’s financial constraints. If you can get past the aforementioned caveats, it proves an enjoyable and occasionally inventive excursion. While I usually loathe the remake/reboot, I think that this could be the rare example where it is pays off. Assuming the new team works out the original’s flaws, this could be a case of the remake improving on a good, but flawed, original.
