National Geographic sold to Rupert Murdoch.

Depressing news. Okay, maybe nothing will change. Or maybe the endangered species list is just a liberal conspiracy, and global famine is just a bunch of people too lazy to work, looking for a handout… and then there’s global warming…

To be fair, Fox has been involved with National Geographic at increasing levels since 1997, but now they own 73% of it, and it’s status has changed from non-profit to for profit. Let the celebrity safaris begin!

  1. Hell has frozen over.

    Another one bites the dust.

    More dumbing down.

    Bad news. Period.

Murdoch bought the Wall Street Journal and it’s still a good paper. Problem is, it used to be (at least news-wise) a great paper till he pissed on it. (And some of its editorials make the Tea Party look liberal.)

Someone in the comments section of this article composited a NatGeo cover with the bold headline, “Climate Change,” X’ed out and a scrawl over it saying something like, “No there isn’t – just carry on.”

The death and dearth of reliable news sources continue. No wonder this country is becoming THAT dumb.
