Newly posted live video of Country Teasers in Louisville

Having posted several other Country Teasers videos, I’m always surprised at how many views they end up receiving. It’s not like they are a particularly well known band, but those of us who love them, obviously cannot get enough.

For all of the Cheater Slicks fans out there…

The Cheater Slicks have been regularly uploading otherwise unreleased live recordings, demos, practice tapes, etc, to their Soundcloud page for several years now. Today’s post, with a particularly ferocious cover of the Modern Lovers, Walk Up The Street, was more than enough inspiration to spread the gospel on BHSI.

Four Country Teasers, and one The Rebel, live/radio shows, plus Male Nurse collection available for download at dropbox

Wanna know where Detroit’s Garage Punk Kings (and Queen Peggy, of course) got their name?

Just watched the highly enjoyable Gories doc, that I posted two weeks ago, and discovered that the TV show Gidget, was responsible for their name.

New songs from The Gories, to be released on 7″ from Third Man Records!

Featuring a cover of the Back From The Grave garage punk classic, Be Nice, by The Nomads, this is the first release from The Gories in over twenty years. Detroit legends!
